Do I need a permit or HOA approval?

Most freestanding pergolas in our service area don't require a permit, but rules vary by city and HOA. We'll flag anything we know about during your consultation. If your HOA needs documentation, we'll provide spec sheets and renderings. Permit fees, when required, are not included in the install price.

What surfaces can it be installed on?

Our standard install covers concrete pads, paver patios, and structural decks rated for the load. Grass and bare-dirt installs require concrete footings poured ahead of install day — we can quote that as an add-on or you can have a local concrete contractor handle it.

Question 3

What does "unusual site conditions" mean?

Things like steep slopes, soft or unstable soil, very tight backyard access (no path wide enough for the crew + materials), required concrete footings, or removal of existing structures. None of these are common, but if any apply we'll let you know in writing before you commit — never as a surprise on install day.

Are anchors, hardware, and footings included?

Yes — all standard mounting hardware and anchors for concrete, paver, or deck installs are included. The only common add-on is concrete footings for grass/dirt installs.

What's the lead time after I order?

Accepted Answer

Most installs land within 1–2 weeks of order. We confirm your address and schedule within 24 hours, then deliver and install on a single agreed day. Local US stock is the reason we're faster than overseas-shipped kits.

What's the warranty?

5-year workmanship warranty on our installation, plus the manufacturer's structural warranty on the pergola itself (powder coat, frame, and louver mechanism). If something isn't right, we come back out — we're local.

Question 7

Can I reserve with a deposit?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can pay in full at checkout, or reserve your build and install date with a 50% deposit. The remaining 50% is invoiced by our team only after your pergola is fully installed and you've signed off on the finished work — no auto-charges.

What if my city isn't on the list?

Reach out anyway. We regularly install in nearby cities that aren't on our main service-area page. If you're within reasonable driving distance of Pierce or South King County, we can usually help.

Are these rated for our wind and snow?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our pergolas are engineered for the Pacific Northwest — typical regional wind loads and snow loads on the louvered roof when closed. We'll cover specifics for your model during the walkthrough.

What's included on install day?

Accepted Answer

Our crew handles delivery, layout, anchoring, full assembly, leveling, a feature walkthrough (louvers, drainage, lighting channels), and complete cleanup. You don't need to lift a finger or coordinate freight.
